Zeng Gao: Traditional Shaanxi Breakfast Delights

Zeng Gao is a traditional Shaanxi dish made with glutinous rice, red kidney beans/red azuki beans, jujubes, eggs, five-spice powder, wheat flour, vegetable oil, and toasted sesame seeds. Here are the steps to make this delicious breakfast:
Step 1: Pair the sweet and chewy Zeng Gao with a fragrant five-spice tea egg for an authentic Shaanxi morning meal.

Step 2: Freshly baked sesame hollow sesame cakes – what to fill them with? Haha, just enjoy them as they are, with their irresistible crispy fragrance!

Step 3: In the early morning, when the Zeng Gao vendor lifts the lid, the aroma fills the street.

Step 4: Everyone loves five-spice tea eggs, I guess.

Step 5: Make the delicious five-spice tea eggs.

Step 6: No need to rise, quick sesame cakes with a crispy exterior and soft interior, so delicious you can’t stop eating. By the time the camera is aimed, they’ve already been partially eaten by ‘hand models’, so please make do with the view… hahaha
