Ingredients for Fruit Bowl Cake: 150g Zhouxing Bowl Cake Flour, 60g White Sugar, 3g Mango Powder, 3g Strawberry Powder, appropriate amount of Taro Balls, Strawberries, and Mangoes.
Method:
Step 1: Prepare the ingredients, cut strawberries and mangoes into small pieces and set aside.
Step 2: Boil a large pot of water, add taro balls, and cook until they float. Remove and rinse in cold water, set aside.
Step 3: [Prepare the Batter] Mix 300g of water with 60g of white sugar until the sugar dissolves. Add 150g of bowl cake flour and stir until well combined. Strain once to make the original batter.
Step 4: Divide the batter into 3 equal parts.
Step 5: Add mango powder and strawberry powder to two portions respectively, stir well and strain.
Step 6: [Steam the Cake] Place the bowl cake bowls in a steamer, grease them.
Step 7: Pour 1/3 height of the batter into the bowls after the water boils, steam over high heat for about 3 minutes until cooked through.
Step 8: Add fruits and taro balls.
Step 9: Fill the bowls with batter and steam for another 8 minutes.
Step 10: (The batter will settle at the bottom, always stir before scooping. The steaming time is not fixed; the cake is cooked when there is no white core and it does not flow.)
Step 11: After steaming, let it cool for a while before demolding and enjoying.
Step 12: The cake is translucent, sweet, and soft.
